Prep time: 15 mins | Bake time: 25 mins | Servings: 5–6
Ingredients
20 jumbo pasta shells
1 lb lean ground beef
1 can (24 oz) pasta sauce (or meat sauce), divided
2 cups finely shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Boil Shells: Cook the jumbo pasta shells in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking.
2. Brown Beef: While pasta cooks, brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease, then season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Prep Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread 1 cup of pasta sauce evenly over the bottom of a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
4. Stuff Shells: Spoon cooked ground beef into each cooked pasta shell and arrange them neatly in the baking dish over the sauce layer.
5. Top with Sauce & Cheese: Spoon remaining pasta sauce down the center of the stuffed shells, then top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
6. Bake & Serve: Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown. Serve hot.
